NOTA 2019 State Meet Recap

Several Northwest Ohio Throws Academy athletes traveled to the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio on March 2 to compete in the 2019 OATCCC Indoor Track and Field Championships with strong results.

In the Division II/III Boys Weight Throw, Van Buren junior Tyler Arbaugh earned a championship with a throw of 68’10”. Eastwood senior Erik Fertig took second with a distance of 66’6.5″.

In the Division II/III Girls Weight Throw, Leipsic sophomore Ella Rigel finished in third with a distance of 42’10”. Eastwood junior Ashley Hodulik was fourth at 41’11” and Carey senior Lilly Adkins finished 21st with a 34’3.25″ throw.

Fertig added a sixth place finish the Boys Shot Put with a mark of 50’10.25″.
Calvert junior Augie Frohnen distance of 46’7″ earned 14th. Arbaugh added a 17th place with a put of 44’5.75″. Galion Senior Noah Atkinson finished 18th with a put of 42’10.75″.

In the Girls Shot Put, Rigel threw 35’1.25″ to finish 14th and Adkins‘ distance of 32’7″ earned a 20th place finish.
