2016 Centerville Somerlot Field Event Classic Results.

Several Northwest Ohio Throws Academy athletes recently competed in the 14th Annual Criss & Rita Somerlot Field Event Classic on April 24th. The Sunday meet at Centerville High School allowed a rare opportunity to compete in the hammer throw at a High School meet.

Nick Lane, a junior from Bowling Green High School, finished 1st in the Boys Hammer throw with a distance of 209’7″. Lane also finished 3rd in shot put with a distance of 51’3.75″ and 4th in the discus throw with a mark of 156′. Below is video of his winning hammer throw.

Carrol Pauley, a junior from Riverdale, finished 2nd in the girls hammer throw with a mark of 163 feet. She also finished 4th in the discus at 120’8″ and 3rd in the shot put with a distance of 39’4.25″.

Freshman Erik Fertig, from Eastwood, finished 4th in the boys hammer at 159’9″ and Wynford junior Seth Hoffman finished 12th with a distance of 130′.
